Usage

Press Ctrl+K (Windows) or Cmd+K (Mac) to open the spotlight.

• Start typing a command or paste a Salesforce ID
• Use Tab to autocomplete, Enter to go
• Use Tab multiple times to switch between matches
• If your clipboard contains a Salesforce ID, it will be auto-filled

Set Extension Keyboard Shortcut

Chrome

1. Open Chrome.
2. Go to: chrome://extensions/shortcuts
3. Find Jumpforce extension in the list.
4. Click the field under the action (Open Jumpforce).
5. Press your desired keyboard combination, e.g. Ctrl+Shift+K.
6. Done - the shortcut is now active.

Firefox

1. Open Firefox.
2. Go to: about://addons
3. Click the gear icon ⚙ -> 'Manage Exension Shortcuts'
4. Find Jumpforce extension in the list.
5. Click into the shortcut field and enter your key combo
6. Close the tab - changes are saved automatically

Edge

1. Open Edge.
2. Go to: edge://extensions/shortcuts
3. Find Jumpforce extension in the list.
4. Click the field under the action (Open Jumpforce).
5. Press your desired keyboard combination, e.g. Ctrl+Shift+K.
6. Done - the shortcut is now active.

FAQ

Q: Why is the extension for the Edge Browser in a different version than the other two?
A: Somehow the Edge extenions store is very very slow when it comes to reviews. While Chrome & Firefox take about 1 day or less after a new submission, Edge needs sometimes longer than a week. Please be a bit patient and check for updates.

Q: Will this extension access my Salesforce data?
A: No. It only interacts with the URL of the current Salesforce tab and does not transmit any data externally.

Q: How do I change the keyboard shortcut to open the spotlight?

• Chrome: Go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts
• Edge: Go to edge://extensions/shortcuts
• Firefox: Go to about:addons, click the gear icon → Manage Extension Shortcuts

Q: Does the extension collect or store any Salesforce data?
A: No. The extension operates entirely in your browser. It does not collect, transmit, or store any Salesforce data or personal information.

Q: Can I use Jumpforce in multiple Salesforce orgs?
A: Yes. Jumpforce works on any Salesforce Lightning Experience domain and adapts to the currently active tab.

Q: What happens if I type an unsupported command?
A: Nothing will happen unless a matching rule is found. If you want to have more commands, just let me know.

Q: How does the clipboard integration work?
A: When you open the spotlight, the extension automatically checks your clipboard for a valid Salesforce record ID. If found, it pre-fills the input field to speed up navigation. Your clipboard content is never stored or transmitted. The browser may prompt you to grant clipboard read permission the first time this happens. You can safely approve this request. The clipboard value is cleared from the input after the spotlight is used.
